Do yourself a huge favour and avoid this place like the plague. It was absolutely disgustingly filthy. My 3 year old and I slept on a towel after turning the main bed back to find dirt and a bug. Yuck! Every wall was covered in dust, every corner was filthy. I wrote “clean me†in the dust on a window sill. They have stapled the curtains to the wall which shows they don’t clean them. The light fixtures were full of bugs... it was the worst end to a week long road trip. We could not wait to have showers at home after staying at “paradise†palms “resortâ€. There is nothing paradise or resort about the place. My in-laws chose to stay at this place as my mother-in-law wanted a specific room - the one with the spa on the deck. We rang to ensure that was the room before booking and she didn’t even get the room she wanted. This is a lady who is dying of stage 4 lung cancer and this could possibly be her last trip away. We are just so appalled and devastated. We went to reception this morning to discuss a refund and we were reluctantly offered 50% back for one room. Not good enough. Now days later they are refusing to honour the refund and slammed the phone down on my Mother in law. They are totally incompetent and unprofessional. I will be telling anyone with an ear to avoid this place, it is highway robbery!!! One star is being too generous!
Enjoyed our time there.. staff very friendly. Although the whole place needs a good scrub. The vinyl on the lounge was peeling off and stuck on our legs. When I unfolded the lounge there was dust and dirt in fold on top. When we booked we asked for rooms close together with the rest of our family and found when we got there we were at opposite ends of the place. Would have been nice to swim without the duck droppings.
Friendly, accommodating staff, clean comfortable rooms and good amenities. Indoor and outdoor pools are great for all weather swimming, and the games room is fantastic with great oldschool arcade games, pinball, air hockey and a jukebox. The grounds are minimal but beautiful. The pond by the chapel is very scummy but great for spotting some turtles. The rooms are quite outdated and feel like they haven't been renovated since the 80's - and be warned, they supply ONE-PLY toilet paper, so it would be best to bring some rolls with you if you prefer real toilet paper. Make sure you put the address in your GPS and BE ALERT when you arrive. The signage is terrible - a huge, huge sign, but tiny the thin text logo is very hard to spot while driving and the driveway is hidden behind another business's driveway. This resulted in a 15+ minute U-turn because of the motorway.
