Details: Built in 1927 as a miner's pub, the historic Abernethy Guest House is located at the gateway to Wine Country and less than two hours from the Sydney CBD.Comprising of fourteen guestrooms most have access onto the upper veranda, which overlooks the two acres of relaxing country gardens. What was once the hotel bar room has been transformed into a comfortable lounge with an inviting fireplace. The dining room features polished tables and antique mirrored sideboard seating up to thirty people for the delight of home cooked meals. From the verandas, views toward the vineyard regions of Pokolbin and Lovedale with a backdrop of the Brokenback Ranges are also enjoyed. The surrounding forest and neighbouring village makes this venue an ideal country retreat for either weekend wine lovers, travelling tourists, social clubs, business groups or weddings alike.
